Welcome to ‘Out Here Making Magic’ !

I’m Victoire, a Belgian living in Connecticut with my husband Peter (also known as PLB). Together, we’re raising four little dragons (in human form), the oldest of whom was born in 2014 and the youngest in 2024, plus a few chickens, a cat, and a handful of dreams we’re chasing as a family. I also have a full-time job, a new home project in the works, and a lot of self-development goals that I’m always trying to juggle. Some days it works, some days it's an epic fail—and that’s the magic of it all.

I started this Substack because this is a place where I can pause, reflect, and share the moments, the lessons, and the tiny victories that often get overlooked in the hustle.

You can expect stories about our life, home projects, and lessons learned (sometimes the hard way). I’ll also share the bits and pieces that inspire me—whether that’s a new habit I’m trying to form, a book that inspired me, a reflection on family life, or a recipe that has been a win.

My hope is that through this space, you’ll be inspired to embrace the messy, wonderful, and magic-filled parts of life, and maybe even find your own sense of magic along the way.
